Catawba Valley Community
College realized that there needed to be a software tool to automate the paper
workflow of the current process that creates and tracks training. The software
tool needed to be robust, user friendly, and reduce human error.
TrainingMaker was created to
reduce the time and errors involved in generating course setups, instructor
contracts, and educational agreements. Rocky Knoll Technologies designed this
customized, access database for Catawba Valley Community College. As a result,
this work-flow tool has significantly reduced re-work due to human errors, as
well as the time required to set up classes.
TrainingMaker is based on
the Microsoft Access 2007 Database Application. Access provides a familiar
platform for users to hit the ground running using the features of
TrainingMaker, as opposed to learning a new way of using a database.
TrainingMaker comes as an Executable that includes the Microsoft Access 2007
runtime module. This allows a computer to use TrainingMaker even if it does not
have Microsoft Office 2007 or any Microsoft Office Products at all.
